TRITON JOINT NEWSLETTER MARCH, 2007
Shipmates make preparations to get underway, the site
selection and initial planning is complete for another great reunion. Are
you ready? Start making plans now to attend our 2008 Joint SSN586/SS201
Reunion at Charleston, South Carolina.
Harold Weston and I (Henry
Jackson) and our wives were graciously hosted by Cal and Joyce Cochrane during
our February visit. We acquired preliminary information from the Charleston
Convention Bureau and contacted suitable hotels in the historic area as to
availabilities in the fall 2008 time frame. We focused on the historic area to
facilitate convenience to the many attractions in this area (this was a major
point discussed in our 2006 Business Meeting).
We sure hope that you are as EXCITED as we are!
The Embassy Suites is a “Landmark of Luxury”, and is a Historic Charleston
Landmark in that it is one of the original Citadel Buildings that has been
totally redone and is now a lovely hotel.
